Although this is a Photography course, at times we shall be using skills and techniques used in camera-less photography such as Cyanotypes, Photograms and Rayograms. Students will also use industry standard post photographic techniques via digital dark room processes and image manipulation using software such as Adobe Light Room and Photoshop.
."...Photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."
ELLIOT ERWITT |
It is incredibly important for students to develop their own "photographic eye" - to dare to see in a new and different way! Therefore, students will be introduced to a variety of experiences, techniques and processes in order to demonstrate the formal elements of visual language within their own body of work. The Study of photographic genres and history will inform their own photographic images, enabling candidates to confidently select and develop their ideas into a final piece of work.
